Just finished watching American Idol- which is part work, part addiction. Thank god for tivo!

I love how the most talked about stories today basically had nothing to do with the winners!
Watching the Oscars at the 4 Seasons with my friend Katrina from First Look Studios.
Just watched the Oscars, which for a big 80th b-day was pretty uneventful.
No big aha moments, no great Oscar speeches or surprises.
Have we all gotten over it? Probably not, because the Oscars are such a big part of Hollywood and loved by the American public. I must say though, it was pretty obvious there was something missing from this year’s big awards show. A je ne sais quoi, as the french would say.
My favorite moment had to be while watching the post coverage on ABC. The “news reporter” introduced a fashion shot of Jennifer Hudson and said it was Beyonce Knowles. Haha! See? This is why entertainment reporters are important people!

We were placed in the middle of the line on the carpet, so unfortunately there were a lot of celeb snubs. The glass half full outlook of that is, at least it’s somewhat entertaining to watch stars completely ignore reporters as they scream random things to get their attention. Woohoo to that!
I did get to chat with some great celebs though including, Forest Whitaker, Rainn Wilson (who hosted the show), Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, Ellen Page, Jason Reitman and many others nominated.
It was freezing though and started to pour halfway through the event, which forced a lot of guests to run for cover inside and not hang on the carpet. The biggest appearance of the night was Brangelina. Angelina was showing off her new baby bump. They both radiated this energy of fame and hotness!! They literally looked statuesque. I swear, if we had to pick two humans to remain on the earth to procreate, I nominate them.
Is it just me or is he doing a 70s thang?
