FROM AN ANONYMOUS SXSW BLOGGER LAST NIGHT

It’s 6am in Austin, the sun is about to rise, hanging out in room 1200 something in the Intercon-something hotel, with Shira-something, and the night is either about to end, or the day is about to begin, not sure which, but everything is cool cause we just finished an amazing night sparked by a phenomenal screening of Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay at the South by South West Film Festival. Neil Patrick Harris brought down the house with the Q&A afterwards, and I swear to god, if ever there was a reason to see a film, it’s to watch Neil Patrick Harris ride a unicorn high on mushrooms. The rest of the night was fun, Austin’s full of sex and drugs and booze and music and drugs, and I’m running out of words and ammunition, so I’m going to sign off now, so the next day can begin. Shira is passed out cold in what looks to be the most comfortable bed in the world, and I’m going to make sure she doesn’t swallow her tongue or choke on an outlaw strand of hair, and then I’m off to wander the streets and preach the gospel of Harold and Kumar. Go see this film, or don’t, it’s up to you, but if you want to be able to speak intelligently about race, politics, drugs, and vagina, you will rush out to the theater on April 25th. Peace.
