"Spend less time being interesting and more time being interested in people and the world" - Shira

Just finished watched a pupu-platter of tivo'd Golden Globes Awards coverage- From NBC's Winners Special to the Dateline Special to TV Guide's Countdown and Post-Show coverage.

Honestly, I was most surprised by the Best Director Winner, Julian Schnabel who I recently had the opportunity to interview at Hollywood Life's Behind The Camera Awards.

Everyone thought The Coen Brothers would win for No Country For Old Men. Knowing that the Oscars likes making some different choices, I predict the Coen's will win an Oscar instead for Directing.

The whole Comedy or Musical category was also pretty weird. La Vie En Rose's Marie Cotillard won Best Actress in the category, which was kind of random considering the film is a drama with music. Don't think that should be considered a Musical or Comedy but anywho... Also, what the hell was Charlie Wilson's War doing in that category?! Yes, it brings a lighter look at a pretty heavy topic, the Cold War, but it's not a comedy! I guess that's what you get when you mix an international group of press folk with an awards show.

All in all, this has probably been the most exciting awards season ever with the writer's strike and the Globes cancellation.

Below is one of my highlights of the evening: Kathy Griffin on Dateline giving her take on the awards. People give her a hard time, but I gotta admit, she makes me laugh!
