"Spend less time being interesting and more time being interested in people and the world" - Shira

What a nice long weekend! On Friday, I was at a local bookstore and picked up Jon Krakauer's national bestseller "Into The Wild". Published in 1997, it chronicles the the tragic true-story of 24-year old Christopher McCandless who hitchhiked across the country to live in the wild of Alaska.

Sean Penn fell in love with the book and optioned it. The result? A feature film directed by Penn and starring Emile Hirsch (Girl Next Door, Alpha Dog) that will be premiering at the Toronto Film Festival next week. I'll be at the fest, so I felt inspired to read this amazing story.
